This week Amy suggested that I try Jamie’s Chorizo Carbonara for my new recipe project, but after browsing the recipes on Jamie’s website something else caught my eye. I’m rather fond of parsnips so couldn’t resist trying my hand at the Parsnip and Pancetta Tagliatelle with Parmesan and Butter.
I found the preparation simple, and the fact that it was very quick to make earns major bonus points. Flavour-wise I thought it was delicious – so much so, in fact, that I saved a portion for the next day’s lunch! The only thing I struggled with was making sure the tagliatelle didn’t boil over, making sure the pancetta and parsnip didn’t burn and trying to keep the kitchen somewhat clean and tidy all at the same time. For now I’ll blame this on my lack of cookery know-how, and I’m sure I’ll be juggling a kitchen full of pans and trays in no time!
